Mission StatementThe Mission Statement for this Committee is to assist each Unit in updating their Constitution & Bylaws and standing rules in addition to suggestions or corrections that need to be done with regard to each individual’s rights. The three areas are separated as Constitution, By Laws and Standing Rules. When the Unit submits their documents to the Department Division Committee person, please send two copies of each document. One will be returned signed by the Committee person that reviewed the documents with any corrections that need to be made or additions, or a sign off that the documents are in compliance. If everything is in order the Department Committee person will submit a copy to the Department Office. This year the annual report information will be obtained through the Department office. It is our hope that you will get documents in early in order to get any corrections that may require a Unit vote to be completed in time to forward to the appropriate chairman. Additional resources are available to help each unit: The Auxiliary Preamble; the Unit Handbook (revised 2005); Department Constitution and Bylaws (revised 2007); National Constitution and Bylaws; National Policies and Procedures Manual; and “Let’s Be Proper”. Awards A Certification of Participation will be awarded to each Unit that submits an updated Unit Constitution, Bylaws and Standing Rules to Department C & B Committee for approval before April 15, 2008. A Certificate of Appreciation will be given to each District President who has at least 75% of her Units updating their Unit C & B before April 15, 2008. A Special gift will be awarded to the District President in each Division who has the highest percentage of her Units submitting C & B before April 15, 2008. 2007-2008 Div II
