Our plan this year consists of encouraging Units to use “Forward Thinking- A ripple today, a wave tomorrow” by preserving records and memorabilia and placing them in a Cavalcade of Memories. Units may not have the opportunity to set up a permanent place in the Post Home but records can be preserved and displayed. On special occasions, proudly exhibit your pictures, histories, memory books, awards and memorabilia. Show videos and play cassette tapes during meetings, initiations and installation ceremonies.
I am asking for each Unit to share with us your Cavalcade of Memories displays. Please send me pictures. These photos will be placed in a book. I am looking forward to having every Unit in Texas represented in this book. We will continue the work that was started in the Department Cavalcade of Memories. Items will be added to our Department display. Any donations from the Units will be appreciated. The donations will be used to help defray some of the expenses we may have. If your Unit has any items they wish to donate to the Department Cavalcade of Memories, please contact either the Chairman or the Department of Texas before sending the items to Department. AWARDS 1. Certificate to each Unit sending a picture of their Cavalcade of Memories. 2. Certificate to each Unit starting a new Cavalcade of Memories. 3. Plaque to the Unit making the largest donation to the Department for the Cavalcade of Memories. 4. Plaque to the Unit with the best year end report. |
